About Love & Wisdom Inc.

Hi, I’m Philip Lingle, Founder of Love & Wisdom, and I truly love what I do! My journey as a wedding officiant began in 2007 when I officiated my first wedding, but my career truly took shape in 2011 after marrying the love of my life. Our wedding day was pure magic, and even now, we still cherish and celebrate that beautiful moment in our lives.

As we planned our own wedding, we realized there weren’t many options for non-traditional officiants. And we wanted someone who would also focus on the future of our relationship together, beyond the joyful moment of our transition into marriage. That realization inspired me to create something different, something truly special.

In 2012, I founded Asheville Marriages, expanding to Charlotte Marriages in 2018, and eventually merging and rebranding as Love & Wisdom Inc. in 2020. Love & Wisdom has now served thousands of couples across our region, earning a reputation for being reliable and easy to work with, as well as delivering a high standard of service every time.

Our vibrant team of wedding officiants share the grand vision of spreading love and wisdom, locally and globally, in order to contribute to theworld in a positive way. Our mission is to put heart and soul into every ceremony and create wedding day experiences that transcend and transport. And we are dedicated to providing the tools that couples need to help them extend their gratification far beyond the wedding day, and forge a happy and lasting marriage.

Every officiant on our team is ordained by nationally and internationally recognized organizations and is legally qualified to perform weddings. While we bring diverse spiritual perspectives to the table, we are not traditional ministers tied to a specific church or congregation. This allows us to honor and respect all people, regardless of spirituality, race, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We proudly include religious elements when requested, and we wholeheartedly support marriage equality, human rights, and social justice.
