Professional Wedding Officiant
Our warm and friendly officiants have been carefully chosen based on their experience, background, and positive energy. We’ll let you know who you have been matched with when we send your quote, and you have the option of speaking with them before making a decision. Once you’ve booked your wedding with us, your officiant will set up a time to connect with you either in-person, via phone, or video chat.
You’ll be guided and supported through the entire ceremony-creation process, so that you are calm and confident on your wedding day. Your officiant will arrive 30 minutes early on the day-of, to assist in last minute preparations. You will then get to fully focus on your love as your officiant leads you through your heartfelt ceremony.
Custom-Crafted Ceremony
Your officiant will craft a one-of-a-kind ceremony that truly reflects your unique relationship. Once you have booked your officiant with us, you will complete a thorough questionnaire to provide insight into who you are as a couple. Your officiant will then create a rough draft of your ceremony script with various options and suggestions for you to consider, including some Fun & Unique Ceremony Ideas.
You will be able to review and request changes on a Google Document. During this collaboration, you and your officiant will have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level, and gain more clarity on your wants and needs for your ceremony. Based on your feedback, revisions will be made until you are 100% happy with the final draft. The result will be a beautiful and personalized wedding ceremony that you and your guests will remember and cherish for the rest of your lives!
Rehearsal Attendance
Your officiant will attend and direct your wedding rehearsal, but will not attend the rehearsal dinner, which typically takes place immediately after the rehearsal. The average rehearsal time is 45 minutes if everyone is on time and focused.
The wedding rehearsal usually takes place at the venue on the day before the wedding. It is a time for the couple and the wedding party to practice for the big day, as well as to socialize and get acquainted. It also provides a fun and casual atmosphere for you and the wedding party to connect with your officiant and iron out any wrinkles before show time!
During the rehearsal, the details of the ceremony will be reviewed and practiced, including the order of the processional and recessional (how everyone walks in and out), the handing off of the bride, the music cues, and where and how everyone will stand when they arrive up front. The transitions and cues for the various parts of the ceremony are also reviewed without going through the entire script word-for-word.
Some wedding coordinators play a larger role in the rehearsal than others. Regardless of whether or not you have a coordinator, your officiant is happy to either take the lead or just a supporting role to make sure that your wedding day goes off without a hitch (except for one!). Often times, a wedding coordinator looks to the officiant for guidance when it comes to certain details.
Team Support & Backup Officiant
During the time leading up to your wedding day, our team will be making lots of preparations to ensure that your ceremony is a success. We will stay in touch with you by emailing next-steps, updates, and other helpful information, so you and your partner are clear on everything that you need to do. You are free to correspond with your officiant at any time via email or phone, and you can also email any general questions to our Happiness Ninjaneers! Plus, you will have access to a client portal, where you can view your contract, invoices, and other account information.
Since we have a team of officiants at Love & Wisdom, we will always have a backup available in the unlikely case that your officiant is sick or is unable to make it due to an emergency. This is something that a lot of couples overlook when hiring an officiant. You simply can’t have a wedding ceremony if the officiant isn’t there.
Marriage License Assistance
To become legally married, you are required by law to obtain a Marriage License from the State in which you are getting married prior to your ceremony. When this exciting time comes, we will guide you through this process.
After the ceremony, your officiant will make sure that everything is completed properly, including witnesses signing and submitting their information correctly on the license. Then your officiant will be responsible for mailing the license back to the government office for processing, so you can relax and enjoy your celebration. The last thing you want to do after your ceremony is worry about getting cake on your legal documents!
Premarital Essentials Program
You get free access to our Premarital Essentials Program, which is a self-guided online program designed to strengthen the foundation of your relationship and help you achieve a happy and lasting marriage. This alternative to traditional premarital counseling will guide you and your partner through the essential conversations that you need to have in order to avoid the most common marriage problems. While participation in this program is not required, it is included for free in this package, and we highly encourage you to work through it at your own pace on your own time.
Since this is a free service, no discount is provided for couples who choose not to participate .
Travel Fee
When applicable, a travel fee for your officiant will be calculated depending on location and drive time. We always try to match you with an officiant who will be close enough to your venue to avoid this fee, but that is not always possible. The travel fee will be included in your quote after you Request it Here.
Holiday Fee
We can usually accommodate holiday weddings and rehearsals, but in order to compensate our officiants for missing out on plans with family and friends, we charge an additional fee of $125 if your wedding or rehearsal falls on one of the following days:
- New Years Day & Eve
- Valentines Day
- Easter
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Halloween
- Thanksgiving & Black Friday
- Christmas & Christmas Eve
